STATE FLAG OF THE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN
On November 18, 1991 at the 8th session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Uzbekistan the Law on the State Flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan was adopted.
The state flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan is the symbol of the state sovereignty of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The state flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan is a symbol of the Republic of Uzbekistan in international relations. The State Flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan is a straight rectangular mattress with three full-length compositions of dark blue, white and dark-green, along the entire length of the flag.
Every color and every character on the flag of our state is deeply symbolic. The blue color in it reflects the destiny, the clear sky, the power, the peace and stability in our country.
White is a symbol of peace, tranquility, light. Also, this color has been described as purity, unobtrusiveness, superficial beauty. Thus, the white color of our flag reflects the pure dreams of our people – their hope, light and goodness.
Green is a symbol of renewal, renovation and joy, and it is also a symbol of our nature. The red stripes are the symbol of vital power and duration, the blood of anxious creatures flowing in our veins. It also contains the dreams of our heroic ancestors, who shed blood for Liberty and Freedom.
The semi-moon and stars in our flag are associated with our historical values, our traditions, our spiritual strength. Crescent is a symbol of independence and freedom.
The flag of our state is a bright example of past, present and future. As noted in the law, citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as other people living in Uzbekistan, must respect our flag. In it, our spirit, pride and pride, our infinite love for our Homeland and our people, is our confidence in the future.
